Ask about a guided day

The enquiry form on this page is the way to reach us. Tell us the date, how many of you there are and what you would like to see; we reply by email with a route, times and one price.

Use the form

All enquiries come through the form at the bottom of this page, and the same form appears on every guided-day page. It asks for five things up front: what kind of day, your name, your email, when you plan to travel and how many of you there are. The other fields are optional but save a round of emails.

We reply by email to the address you give. Check the spelling, and look in your spam folder if nothing has arrived, because a first message from an unfamiliar address is sometimes filtered.

What makes a useful first message

If you have not decided, describe what you like: markets, history, forest, photographs, quiet beaches. The planning page shows what fits into four or eight hours.

What happens next

  1. We read your message and check guide and car availability for your date.
  2. We reply by email with a route, clock times, the guide's working language and one price, listing inclusions and exclusions.
  3. If it suits you, you confirm and pay as set out on the quotation.
  4. We send the confirmation with your guide's name and how to reach them on the morning.
  5. On the day, the guide meets you in your hotel lobby at the agreed time.

The full process, including changes and cancellations, is on how to book.

If you are already on the island

You can write from your hotel. Next-day guided days are often possible outside Lunar New Year and other national holidays. Same-day requests are rarely possible, because the guide and the written programme need to be arranged. If you are writing late in the evening for the next morning, say so in the first line.

For the morning market walk, we need your request by early afternoon the day before, since the meeting time is before sunrise.

Requests we will turn down

We would rather say no early than disappoint you on the day. We decline requests for boat trips, island hopping and yacht charters, because we do not run or resell boats. We decline join-in places on shared group tours, because every booking here is private. We also decline parties of more than seven, which need more than one guide and car, and requests for interpreting at a police station, clinic or court, which need a qualified interpreter rather than a tour guide.

If your request falls into one of these, we will say so in the first reply and, where we can, tell you what kind of business to look for instead. Everything else on Phu Quoc that a guide can help with on land is worth asking about.

What we do with your details

We use what you send to answer your enquiry and, if you book, to arrange your guided day. Your name and pick-up point go to the guide and driver assigned to you. The privacy policy lists the fields the form collects and how long they are kept.

Before you write

Many questions are answered already. The pricing page explains each line of a quote, the guide licence page covers card types and what to ask, and the FAQ page gathers the questions from every page in one place.

Payment safety

We send payment instructions only in a reply to your own enquiry, and the quotation explains how to check them. If you receive a payment request that does not follow those steps, do not pay it; reply to our email thread and ask.

Common questions

Questions travellers ask most

Can we phone you instead?

We handle enquiries through the form and reply by email, so the route and price are in writing. If you would like a call, add your number in the form and say when suits you.

How much detail should we include?

Date, party size and the kind of day are enough to start. Ages of children, mobility and diet help us get the plan right first time.

We have not had a reply. What now?

Check your spam folder first. If nothing is there, send the form again and check the email address carefully.

Tell us about the trip you have in mind

Dates, party size and the places you care about are enough to start. You get a draft route and an indicative price, not a brochure.

Add more detail optional — the more you tell us, the closer the first draft lands
